I've had a few people email me regarding using exotic feathers in the feather pens I create. Can I do this? they ask. Well, yes and no. I am constantly on the look out for "rare" feathers (from your lesser-known pet birds) to use in my pens, however there are laws that protect many of our native birds here in the States, so not every type of bird feather is usable. But, if you have a particular bird in mind, let me know because there is almost always a usable feather out there that is a perfect mimic of the bird. We're getting ready to launch a new line of pens that mimic Barn Owl, Snowy Owl, and Great Horned Owl wing feathers, just to name a few. Look for them coming soon!
